We stayed overnight to wait for our next flight and it was everything we could ask for: free shuttle to/from the airport, nice room and bath, very clean and with a huge comfy bed. We id try to go eat someplace nice around there and we could not find one so after walking about 6 blocks we gave up and went back to the hotel to it. The Food was good and cheap so don't worry you will be ok. The pool wa not so nice but that was not in our plan anyway. We will very likely stay here again on our next trip to Panama City.

I found the exterior and lobby of this hotel pretty plain, but it was all forgiven when I walked into the room and found it huge and even a little stylish. Even better, you get a ton of amenities for the price you pay: really large rooms (at least on the top couple floors), a lovely pool and patio on the roof with a panoramic view of the city, free breakfast, FREE RIDE TO THE AIRPORT!! (you can tell i'm really excited about this!), and a general laid-back but friendly atmosphere. The rooms have AC, flat-screen TV, a fridge, and a jacuzzi tub (also very exciting!). Staff is professional and can set you up with tours and recommendations. It's within walking distance of El Cangrejo and other cool parts of town. All in all, pretty good bang for the old buck at $66 a room.Recommended for:

Upon entering the Costa Inn I could immediately tell that the owners had really tried to distinguish themselves from the competition by the upgraded decor. Marble counter tops and Spanish style tiles in the lobby and intricate crown moulding created a sense of luxury before even hitting the room. The room itself was immaculately clean boasting a refrigerator, dining table, two beds and a very intruiguing Jacuzzi -style bath tub. The entire room was so large that it could have been called a suite. Add in the gorgeous rooftop pool with a 360 degree view of the city and the Costa Inn offers quite a bang for the buck.

Its convenient and great price for a 3-star hotel. Best thing about this hotel is the shuttle ride back and forth from the airport. If you're the budget traveller and clean place to sleep, I recommend this hotel.
