To be fair, my wife and I only stayed at Delle Nazioni for one night and I only picked the hotel because of its proximity to the train station. We were flying into Milan from Istanbul and staying one night before catching the first train to Venice.
We arrived in Milan in the middle of the night and fortunately because the hotel was so easy to find, we were able to fend off the rather predatory cab drivers that greeted our airport shuttle.
The room was comfortable, if a bit dated. The show is odd as it's located in the middle of the bath tub so you don't have much room to maneuver. There also wasn't much in the way of hot water.
As for the breakfast, we knew better because we checked out the place online and everyone said the same thing. All they do is put out an assortment of cookies and cereal with one or two pitchers of milk that are not replenished. By the time we got downstairs the milk was gone and we skipped this "breakfast," opting instead to pick up croissants and coffee at Milano Centrale.
On the whole, this hotel is cheap, clean and conveniently located. If you stay here with those expectations, you'll be fine.

I feel that the only remarkable feature of this hotel is that there is nothing outstanding about it. Not too close or too far from the city centre, in a neighbourhood which is not too glamorous nor too disreputable and in a building which does not look too appealing nor too distasteful. It has normal sized rooms and bathrooms with anonymous pieces of furniture which have the only plus side of being clean and offering suitcase holders (an amenity that it is usually only given by four-star-hotels). They do not have a restaurant, but they have a bar and breakfast is included. The “garden” where you can relax is a piece of terrace with some plants in a vase. Luckily, the price is included in this series of unpretentious details, making it a good deal when it is up to price/quality relation. So, do not expect too much from it.

I have to say that I feel like many people have really no taste at all when it is up to décor and interior design. Let’s take this hotel, for example: awful pieces of furniture that seemed to have been put together without a reason, and with nothing in common except the fact that they have nothing in common, welcomes you in the hall, the bar, the reading space and the rooms. Concrete-framed glass panels, which I do not particularly love, are used instead of concrete walls and the atmosphere feels like you have just taken a trip to the past. Inexplicably, the fake ancient Roman-Greek statues that are proudly exposed in the middle of the rooms held a weird fascination to me, so, despite their awful taste I cannot say anything bad about it. The price was reasonable for a place like this.
