Walking into the lobby of this hotel felt more like walking into an exclusive lounge thanks to the fancy chairs and the neon green lighting. This hotel is very modern but uses romantic decorative prints in bold colors to mix vintage with trendy. The dining area is in fuchsia and gold and has the same luxury but fun vibe. Service is friendly and they even lend out umbrellas for those rainy Parisian days.
The rooms are brightly colored in turquoise, lime green and fuchsia and most feature damask printed wallpaper. Some additional touches I liked were the iMac (so you can leave your laptop at home) and the retro black rotary telephones.
The location is right in front of the Sorbonne with easy access to the Pantheon and Jardin de Luxembourg. Make sure you check out their website for some amazing deals (rooms for just over 100 Euros/night)!

This is a recently renovated hotel just one block away from Boulevard St. Michel, and nearby Jardin de Luxembourg and Panthéon.
Rooms are colorful, although it almost feels as the colors are supposed to distract you from the small size of the room and a bit worn out older furniture. Apple iMac is a nice surprise in the room!
Lobby and breakfast room follow the same colorful and playful baroque theme as the rooms. The staff is lovely and very helpful here.
Overall I think this hotel offers a great price/quality ratio, and this location is perfect for exploring the sights of 6th and 5th arrondissements.

The Hotel Design de la Sorbonne lives up to its name with its ultra-modern aesthetic and detail-oriented design. The place feels very young and fun: it is two doors down from the Sorbonne University and each room is brightly decorated and comes with an i-Mac.
I did find the rooms slightly dark and small, but for the excellent prices the hotel offers, this is easy to get over.

Hotel Design de la Sorbonne is an affordable, perfect little hotel for travelers. It's tucked away in the Latin Quarter (i.e., near the Sorbonne), a few blocks from Metro stations and tourist attractions like the Pantheon, Notre Dame and the jazz clubs of St. Germain. The rooms are small, but have everything you need -- including an iMac with WiFi access -- and are beautifully designed. Their attention to detail is amazing and something quite special.
