This hotel isn't too pricey and is right on Houston Street near the Lower East Side for easy nightlife access. My best friend stayed the night here when she got married and we all had a blast on their lovely roof terrace. Boutique feeling, intimate and friendly.Recommended for:

Walking into the naturally illuminated lobby full of local NYC publications, you'll feel right at home in this awesome Lower East Side location. Rooms are cozy and clean, with full modern baths and amenities such as an iHome, a flat screen TV, and dark curtains to hide the city's light (if you ever decide to go to sleep). The rooftop lounge is a great place to read, relax, or even host a private event. Make reservations in advance if you want a room with a street view, or for something a little quieter, request an interior room. Located within walking distance of some of NYC's best restaurants, clubs, and shopping neighborhoods, the price is right for such nice and convenient accommodations.

This hotel is just a short walk from the NYU-Astor Place area in the Lower East Side where you can find lots of mom & pop stores like Russ & Daughters where they have delicious babka, and more well known restaurant chains such as Subway and Chipotle. You are close to St. Marks Pl bar scene or you want to grab one of those famous Japadogs.
The best feature the hotel has is their rooftop terrace. Feel free to bring up your own beverages, I've been told it's BYOB, and relax and take in the lovely Manhattan views. There's a cover so even if it rains, you'll be kind of protected. You can even invite your friends up to have a drink with you, however, you'll have to leave once the sun sets. They apparently have neighbors who are sensitive to any rowdiness so start early and make your way down to the busier streets at night.Recommended for:
