This hotel is a classic and it is everything a great luxury hotel ought to be. The Gritti has a fabulous location on the grand canal, in between the Rialto bridge and San Marco, just across from Dorsuduro. The restaurant at the Gritti offers great, classic fare, overlooking the grand canal and breakfast is a treat.. I had a traumatizing experience at the hair salon at the Gritti when I was nine years old, having to do with language barriers and all of my hair getting cut-off, but I cannot hold that against this first rate hotel.Recommended for:Luxury Travelers
