Definitely the most modern hotel I have ever stayed at in San Diego to date. I was already excited from browsing their website weeks before my trip. Unfortunately, we couldn't get a view of Petco Park since it was full for SDCC. We still managed to see it from their Level 9 bar while relaxing with a bear near the fire pits (s'mores, anyone?). The rooms were nice with a flat screen tv, wooden floors (a first for any hotel I've stayed in) and a roomy bathroom stocked with Aveda products (Nice!). Most hotels around the downtown area offer free w-fi, but we were also given complimentary access to use and print documents from the computers in their lobby. My chances of staying at a hotel like this again are pretty slim, so I made the best out of it. Wish I could have said hello to the hotel's resident canine before I left.Recommended for:

We stay here the most often when we are in San Diego. This hotel is LEED-certified, which is a bonus for an environmentalist like me. It was well-decorated with a modern flair and features local artists. Comfy and clean rooms with high-def TVs. The service is good, and they have great selection for food and drink on site, as well as walking distance to countless other options for eating out. You can even watch a Padres game at Petco park from their roof-top bar. Oh, and they are Pet friendly!

Conveniently located next to Petco Park, depending on your room, you can actually just watch the games from the window. If you don't have a room facing the field, you can always head to the patio bar on the 9th floor and get a great view of the game from there. The rooms are spacious and the beds and bathrooms are huge!

This was a nice and modern hotel, nicely place in the Gaslamp area. The hotel was walking distance from Petco Park, Horton Plaza, and the Convention Center, which was a huge plus for me since I stayed here during SDCC. What stood out from this hotel was not only the ambience, but the nice view from the Level 9 rooftop bar. Discovering this area during my last evening of SDCC was a nice way to chill and unwind after the long weekend.

It is a lovely boutique hotel. The decor is clean and simple. Our room and bathroom are really large and comfortable. The hotel is not far from the Gaslamp district, but not that close. The streets around the hotel can be a little bit deserted at night. Overall, it is good value for money.

A dog friendly hotel with a waterfall thingy in the lobby! Who doesn’t like waterfalls and doggies? Hotel Indigo is one of the newer hotels in Downtown San Diego. It’s only a two blocks from the stadium, and it’s a quick walk to all the hot nightspots the Gaslamp Quarter has to offer. The color scheme for this hotel is bright and the first thing you see when exiting the elevator on each floor is a giant print of a close up of flower petals. Georgia O’Keeffe would be in heaven. There’s no pool at Hotel Indigo, that space is used instead by a grass space for your dog to do it’s business on. There’ also a little “meditation” terrace which me thinks is just so unused space that they wanted to put a nifty name on.

Hotel Indigo is a cool hotel ... both conveniently located and a very well done hotel.
It's near market street so there is plenty to eat, and if you're either going to the game at Petco Park or planning your shopping at Horton Plaza ... both are walking distance from the hotel indigo.
San Diego is all about being outdoors, so don't plan to spend too much time in the Indigo ... but if you do you won't be disappointed.
It's a great place to rest your feet and feel comfortable all the time you're there.
But definitely get out and go hit up the great food and bars in the Gaslamp. You don't have to feel guilty about having a few too many ... because you can stumble back and feel perfectly safe as you do.
