While certainly accessible from the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku’s busy shopping district Hotel Listel is down a small side street and a little easy to miss. The area only about a ten minute walk from the main shopping area and another ten minute walk from the station making a great place with easy access for a wide variety of shopping, but in a much quieter area than visitors might think at first glance.
The hotel lobby has an adjoining café style restaurant and while the hotel doesn’t offer free meals almost all sets are 1,000 yen or less making them quite reasonable and tasty.
All rooms also have ready access to a wide array of both foreign and domestic films (around 500 or so) to choose from and any female visitors might be particularly interested in the women’s only massage room that offers both massages and aroma therapy sessions in the price range of about 5,000-10,000 yen.Recommended for:

If you wanna be in the thick of the shit but not spend too much money AND be able to sleep well at night, Hotel Listel Shinjuku is the perfect place for you. Private rooms are affordable and there's free wi-fi in them so that you can finally have some private time with internet porn. What? Don't pretend you don't know what I"m talking about. Everyone needs a little "special" time for themselves and wi-fi helps a lot with that…
Anyways, Hotel Listel Shinjuku is close to pretty much all the dope things you wanna see, do and drink in Shinjuku. It's dangerously close to Golden Gai which is either a good thing or an incredible detrimental thing depending on how you look at it.Recommended for:

If you just need a clean place to sleep in Shinjuku, this is a good deal. It's cheap for being in Shinjuku. It doesn’t smell like smoke on the non-smoking floor, and there’s a beer vending machine. How much time are you really going to spend in your hotel anyway? It’s a little bit of a walk into Shinjuku station if you want to take J.R., but it’s a straight walk, and almost impossible to get lost. People interested in cheap hotels but not interested in the hostel scene, or in sharing a toilet and shower, should consider a hotel like Hotel Listel. It’s about the same price as a private room at some of the hostels in town.Recommended for:

It's a really cheap hotel for staying in Shinjuku, so don't be too critical. The outside looks kind of run down, but in the rooms the carpets and bedding look fine. In the rooms, they have a mini-fridge and video on demand. There are lots of rooms, so it's likely you can get one without much notice. There's a breakfast, and you can walk to Shinjuku station in about twenty minutes or take the subway if you need to. It's a little weird inside by check in and the breakfast area, but the rooms are nice and no one spends much time in their hotel when they're looking around Shinjuku.
