This place is a newly converted Doubletree (used to be a Courtyard Marriott) and while it's an older building, the furnishings are still nice. Ceilings are quite low compared to more modern buildings and the area has quite a bit of ambient noise (particularly emergency response sirens). However, it's a nice location if you're always stranded at the hotel without a car like me - right across the street is the brand new Marina Place with a dine-in movie theater, fitness center, Gelson's Market (in the basement), and tons of restaurants that will be opening soon. Right next to the hotel you'll find some other establishments including a Barnes & Noble. You're not far from the marina so you can just stroll over there to enjoy the waterfront. Parking does cost $15/night but we didn't end up getting charged, woot!

This hotel is pricier than what I'd usually go for, but it was an anniversary getaway. It was renovated 3 months ago so everything looks great. It was comfortable & clean. Wi-Fi was free but breakfast isn't.Recommended for:
