Away from the kitschy Mickey Mouse hat-wearing crowds in Anaheim, this boutique hotel nearer the freeway is a chic hideaway, especially for couples or business travelers (though both pets and kids are also welcome). Business center, fitness center, swimming pool, lively restaurant and bar -- basically it's a slightly cooler scene than hotels near the theme parks. You can catch an Anaheim shuttle to Disneyland right outside the hotel.

I agree with Betty Geek's review below but would like to add:
The concrete floor doesn't look hip to me, it just looks cheap. They tried to cover up the old motel look which was a good attempt, it just didn't cover it up.
The bed was very comfortable.
I'm glad it was raining because it meant there was nobody by the pool. Had there been many people by the pool, I would have heard them through the walls.

It was kind of nice walking into Hotel Menage simply for the fact that it was extremely hot and bright outdoors while the lobby of this hotel is relatively dark with a contemporary feel. Even more of a relief was the K’ya restaurant that is housed in this hotel. With a nice plate of food and maybe some refreshments, it would be easy to forget that you are right next to the 5 freeway. Light sleepers be warned, the walls are paper thin. Try to book a room that is not located on the freeway side. Other than that, the room was a continuance of the lobby’s contemporary feel. Clean look with an edge, very desirable. There was a great pool with cabana lounge areas, a relaxing place.

You may mistake the hotel lobby for a swanky ultralounge nightclub. The lobby was dark, dance music piped through the walls and sleek mint green couches provided a seating area. As nice as it was, the hotel seems out of place for the zip-a-dee-doo-da heffalumps and woozles of Disneyland. Although a family with small children might not enjoy the dark lobby, this hotel would be great for a couple in their 20s or 30s without kids. I was comfortable in the room. Our standard room was furnished with typical Ikea-esque hotel furniture and had a small seating area with a couch and coffee table.
Whatever you do, stay away from the back of this hotel that faces the freeway. It’s loud back there and it sounds like a string of Boeing 747s flying by. The thin hotel walls do little to nothing to block the noise from entering the room. The rooms towards the front of the hotel were much more quiet and relaxing.

$99 a night for the queen standard and that is as good as it will get in the OC.
I will outline the pros and cons and you can figure out the rest:
- 6 pillows on the bed. Hell yeah. I am a pillow freak.
- Nice and friendly staff
- Bed and breakfast option, solid breakfast fare
- Trendy and hip bar and pool
- Flat screens with HD channels
- Wooden hangers
- Near gas stations and freeway for easy access
- Butt-close to Disneyland
- 15 min. away from Little Saigon
- Happy Hour from 4-7PM DAILY (1/2 off drinks and appetizers)
- $10 self parking or $12 valet parking . . um, WTF and why
- Freeway not too scenic
- No mini fridge
- Elements of a previous motel (crappy in-wall ventilation units under the window!) So 1970s!
As you can see, there are more positives than negatives, so it deserves 3 stars. It is not a luxury hotel by all means, it's just a nice, clean, and decent place to stay. So don't come here and expect the Mondrian for crissakes.
We enjoyed our stay here and will return.
P.S. Remember to tip the staff members, don't be a cheap bastard.
