I truly felt that the Hotel Pas de Calais was the full package for its price range: great location, friendly staff, interesting history.
In terms of the decor, there is a beautiful breakfast nook near the check-in area with a veranda and a wall covered in plants. The rooms are each decorated in a unique style that is the definition of quiet elegance. The whole place feels like a classic parisian establishment that has aged gracefully to fit the times.Recommended for:

This is a pretty little hotel just off Boulevard Saint-Germain. It has a good location for shopping and eating out. The rue du Four is nearby with a lot of shopping possibilities as well as the compact restaurant and bar area between Rue de Guisarde and Rue de Princess.
The highlight of the lobby is a wonderful green wall full of orchids and other plants. The rooms are on the smaller side, but tastefully decorated. Seems like each room has their own theme, and some rooms are more recently renovated than others. This place has a lot of character that is unique to Parisian hotels. You can't find this atmosphere from chain hotels. This is a perfect establishment for romantic couple's vacation in Paris - you get the beautiful surroundings with the price of three-star hotel.Recommended for:

The first thing I noticed when walking into the lobby of this hotel was the beautiful living plant wall that runs along one side of the dining room. It is a very unique touch that would almost make me want to pay the extra 15 Euros for breakfast in the morning. There is also a classy bar at the back of the hotel where you can get a drink anytime, day or night, and a small library if you feel like reading a book.
The rooms are all individually decorated with different color schemes in a simplistic and classic style and the bathrooms are hidden behind what looks like a closet door in some of the smaller rooms, in order to save space.
The location of this hotel is fabulous as it is located just off Boulevard Saint-Germain where you can find wonderful places to shop, eat and explore.Recommended for:

This is a great little boutique style hotel, although its only 3* its as nice as some 5* hotels I have stayed in. The room is simple but clean with a big flat screen TV, safe and a good bathroom & shower.
Bed is also quite comfortable
