The adventure of staying on a docked (and supposedly haunted) ship was pretty fun and exciting. Had a great time in the bar, at the restaurant, and there is even a Starbucks on board for those who need a pick me up in the morning and cannot wait to get back around to the downtown Long Beach Harbor side. This was a really fun place to stay, it was economical, and felt like we were staying in a time capsule. The views out of the porthole windows of the hotel room were fantastic as well. Only thing: the beds are comfy, but they are extremely tiny! It's a ship though - so that is almost to be expected, right?Recommended for:

This place is definitely worth it. Right across from the Long Beach Harbor, you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the Queen Mary. It's fun and exciting to be somewhere royalty has been before. The rooms are small, but it's fun because of the history, the haunted tour, and the proximity to some great restaurants, clubs, and shopping. Be sure to take the tour and wander around at night and be on the lookout for the Lady in White.Recommended for:

The Queen Mary is a landmark for us living in LA. During Halloween they have a pretty cool maze and during new years eve there is always a handful of different parties. Sometimes the city will allow concerts outdoors, but as far the hotel itself, there's nothing special about it. It's definitely a piece of history and worth a visit for that alone.Recommended for:

The Queen Mary is a really popular tourist destination, which might make you think that it would be totally 100% tacky and cheesy, but the ship itself really isn't. I don't really care very much about whether it is haunted or not (I've never experienced anything weird except for the strange vertigo that its really really long hallways make you feel), but staying on the boat is pretty fun. Most of it has been restored beautifully and feels a little like a time-traveling trip. You can hear pretty much everything that goes on in the rooms near you, though, so don't expect it to be quiet.

Nostalgic and Majestic? Undisputable. Spooky? Undeniable. Haunted? Unimaginable. A chance to experience this retired queen during Halloween? Don't think twice. Go! Book one of the cabins to stay the night. Enjoy the restaurants and the lounge. Take in the onboard guest experience. Follow the whispers during the self guided tour.

I have to admit, I had fun staying here. No ghosts or anything, but it was definitely an experience. One thing to note, my room was really, really cold. Couldn't find out how to turn down the thermostat. Also you do hear noises, as I think the walls are thin. Or maybe that was the ghosts. They also have a kick butt buffet if you want to spend the $$$.
