What a well-kept secret! I'm almost surprised I like this hotel as much as I do. It's very unimposing, the rooms are extremely basic in design and there is no swimming pool. Yet, it only gets better from there. The staff are amazing - super nice and accommodating. The hotel is very quiet and in a equally quiet part of town, but just a block or two walk away from some of South Beach's wildest areas. There's also free continental breakfast. But what really stands out are the guestroom bathrooms. They are extremely cool in their layout and the steam showers are amazing! Most of all though, this hotel is a fraction of the price of others in South Beach, yet you don't feel you're missing out on anything in terms of the funky art deco experience!

After discovering this little gem in the mostly residential ‘SoFi’ (South of Fifth Street) neighborhood, I now know where I’ll be sending friends and family who want to experience the quieter side of Miami. The hotel has just 24 rooms, all simply decorated. But they’ve got a secret weapon—spa-like steam showers with speakers and multiple jet sprays. This makes up for the fact that there is no pool—although I hear they may be building one in what is now a parking lot next to the hotel. Free continental breakfast is included in the room rate, and the bright, orange coffee bar where it’s served seems like the most cheerful, sunny spot in the hotel. Plenty of restaurants and bars are just a stroll away—as is South Pointe Park, one of my favorite spots in Miami Beach. Great views of the cruise ships sailing out.Recommended for:
