    Columbus Circle

Where Broadway tangentially bumps into Central Park is Columbus Circle, a beautiful area full of life. From the horse carriages to the Shops at Columbus Circle, the area is full of life. The statue of Christopher Columbus serves as a landmark for the area, as well as a nice place to take some photos.

I really enjoyed the shiny Shops at Columbus Circle, particularly the Whole Foods under the mall. It's a great spot for a break after walking through Central Park.

Different. Part modern art, part craft, all very cool, fun stuff. Thursday nights after 6pm offers a pay what you want rate, which is perfect for a quick peak while passing through the Columbus Circle area. Rotating exhibits range from cute to weird.

Craft beer heaven. Great music, knowledgable staff, 40 or so rotating beers on tap. Great energy and a young crowd.

My favorite arts & crafts store in NYC, located on the posh 57th St. There is also a level dedicated to furniture and lighting, decked with some of the most beautiful chandeliers I have ever seen.

A strikingly beautiful building near Columbus Circle that is an easy landmark to spot and get your bearing while out exploring the area. 46 stories tall, first 'green' NYC skyscraper and voted best skyscraper of 2006 worldwide. Houses a Balducci's on the ground floor and the admin offices for Esquire, Cosmopolitan and other Hearst magazines above.

I liked this Whole Foods for its convenient location under the mall in Columbus Circle. New York MoMA and Central Park, as well as every other attraction known to man, are within walking distance.

Sophisticated hideaway bar in the Hudson Hotel. Classy, low key spot to catch up with friends and enjoy a friendly game of chess or pool.

This place is the heart of New York. It's absolutely amazing with all of the lights and stuff. And you just feel that the puls of the City is here. Of course, there will always be a lot of people, espescially in the summer and around christmas. But it's always worth going there :)

    Bowlmor Lanes Times Square

Bowlmor has it all...3 floors of NYC theme rooms, flamboyant and eccentric panache, drink specials, a prestige list of celebrities who threw down on the lanes, and capacity to serve a fun party. Gogobot NYC held an awesome event here and confirmed that this an excellent place for a group activity regardless of the occasion.

Was here on a Friday night- a fun great vibe. Even though we didn't get a table having drinks by the bar and overlooking the view of NYC was great! Drinks were made well and bartenders were prompt- overall good service. Looking forward to coming back!!

Very cool Hell's Kitchen option. Much classier than many of the Chelsea / East Village options. The decor is what you would expect given the name -- exposed brick, very urban, and edgy.

You'll get an awesome view over the city. But personally I liked the Empire State Building Observatory better. Here you'll see the Central Park, which you won't get on the Empire State Building. So my tip: Do both! ;)

    0.63 mi from Hudson Hotel

Distinguishing itself from the multitude of downtown rooftop bars, The Press Lounge is one of the best alternatives to soak up some sun and chill by the pool in midtown west. Boasting a generous rooftop space, it is far less crowded then other spots and less of a wait. The city views are beautiful, and it's nice to not rub ...

The first musical I ever saw in New York City, and after seeing many more, it is still my utmost favorite. Such a great production, unbelievable dancing and music, I've already seen it twice! And would happily go a third time!
