Excellent upscale pastries and sweet treats are prepared masterfully at this still fairly under-the-radar spot, where true macaroon-lovers will be amazed to discover that Pierre Herme might really not have the last word on this particularly tricky to perfect confection. Hugo et Victor is on the expensive side, but service is fast and you won't regret trying something new.Recommended for:Luxury Travelers

The pans are delicious and the chocolates decadent. Hence the chocolate pan is a MUST HAVE from Hugo et Victor. Admittedly, there are so many note worthy patisseries in Paris...in France, and Hugo et Victor may not be the most famous.
I can tell you, when you are just exploring a more obscure (less touristy) part of the city on foot, and you are getting a little tired, and you happen upon a delightful patisserie. The little bit of fuel (yummy fuel) is like a god send and you will remember how delicious it is forever! Hugo et Victor saved the day.
In all fairness, the pan and the chocolates are delicious, regardless of my state of hunger at the time.
