The Hyatt is conveniently located within a couple of blocks off the red and orange train lines and maybe 4 blocks from the green train line. The staff is friendly and helpful. They even let us check in at 7AM (we took a red eye flight) so we could nap for a few hours before heading out for the day. The rooms are clean and pretty spacious.

The Hyatt Regency is a pretty good hotel, but it lacks a real wow factor. Its location is ideal for business travelers since it sits right outside the Financial District. Families too will like the locale, given that it’s near the theater district. Unfortunately though, there is construction ongoing across the street from the Hyatt, which is a slight turn-off. To be fair though, you can’t hear the construction from inside the building. The hotel’s rooms are okay, but the hotel does skimp a bit on towels on toiletries for the bathroom. Views from the rooms are actually really good from the top floors, which is a plus in my book. The fitness center looks really nice, but you’d probably get a better workout trying to find it and the pool. As mentioned in another post, the hotel does have a cool atrium feel to it.Recommended for:

It’s not fantastic but you could certainly do worse. Getting into the lobby is a little awkward: there’s a sort of pre-lobby in the walk-up entrance, and then you take an elevator up to the actual lobby. There are surprisingly few amenities in the bathrooms; I don’t consider that a dealbreaker but it was a little strange. The gym is a nice size, as is the pool, though both are unfortunately located at the end of a walk down a long hallway and set of stairs, which is a bit tedious. The hotel has a neat setup where every four floors are contained within an atrium-type space. It almost feels more like a condo in that respect. The Wi-Fi rate isn’t too bad. The rooms on the upper floors only have wired internet but the cost is the same; good to keep in mind since the website doesn’t make this clear.

Ok, so I didn't really get a chance to stay here, but I did go to a networking event hosted here last night. I was impressed by the catering and the terrace (aka the Nantucket Room) was lovely to be out on. It's too bad it didn't have any views.
