Really nice place to stay in! I like the circular design - makes the whole place feel very open. The ceiling is a giant glass puzzle of triangles so you get all the natural light in the day. There are some awesome views of the ocean, even when you're not facing it. That's the nice thing about their location at that jutting - you'll catch a glimpse of a view no matter where your room faces.
It's very close to the water, but you have to walk around a bunch of buildings to get to the beach since right below the hotel are some rocky cliffs. Then you can stroll along the water and enjoy the amazing blue ocean there. If you're feeling adventurous, you can participate in water sports and maybe even do some parasailing!
If you want to stay in the hotel, they've got a nice pool area, or some bed cabana things that face the ocean. Perfect place to lay down for a nap, read a book, sip on some drinks, and/or enjoy the view. There are some regular lawn chairs with mattresses if you're in the mood for some sun tanning. All in all a great place to stay in Cancun!

This huge, round hotel is out on the point near the center of the hotel zone. It has approximately 300 rooms all facing out each with either lagoon or ocean views. It had a very nice open, cool feel with an enormous sized lobby. The ceiling was built out of a beautiful mosaic type clear glass tile. The floors were a nice stone tile. There were great ocean views almost everywhere I looked. There were restaurants, lounges, bars, two pools, and great outdoor activities all around. I enjoyed being out on the point so I could see the entire coast line on both sides of us. The gym was open 24 hours a day so you could get that workout in during the middle of the night while it’s nice and cool?? And the Spa was open from 8am until 8pm. Great location.

It's honestly pretty hard to tell one Cancun resort from the other, they're all along beautiful water that is a brilliant blue color, large grounds, and friendly service. The Hyatt (was called the Hyatt Cancun Caribe when I stayed there) is no exception. They have 2 pools, a swim-up bar and beach access. You will see lots of peacocks around the hotel as well as the occasional iguana lounging under a beach chair. Easy access to the main drag, it's just a short walk.
