Hyatt is a nice place to stay for a night or two. I'd check online for discounts and cheaper prices because Hyatt can be a little pricey. Overall, the rooms were pretty nice and the staff were friendly. I liked that there was a gym right under us, and it was pretty big with lots of machines.
The one thing that I really didn't like were the stained towels. Both the clean towel I grabbed at the gym and the towel in my hotel room had stains on them. Yuck!

Stayed here for a corporate event. Nice hotel that is located a few minutes from Cannery Row. The rooms are spacious with a contemporary design. The bathroom was very modern....shower only, no tub. The property is very big, so be prepared to walk quite a bit if they put you in a room on the far side of the lot.

This was the stage of our unconventional Senior Ball at Santa Clara University. Yes, I've yet to hear of another college that throws senior balls since it's more of a high school thing but we did and it was a blast.
Hyatt hosted our senior ball and gave us a special rate for booking rooms and it was a wonderful stay. I loved the classiness of this place and the upscale atmosphere in every corner. They even had little seals for us on the beds! The ball room was nice, the service was great and the whole night went off pretty flawlessly.
I'm sure it was weird for whoever was staying there to see a bunch of college kids dressed up in prom wear and tuxes roaming around the halls. The catering was yummy and the whole thing didn't cost us a whole lot unlike what I had expected. The location is a little bit of a hike from anywhere downtown Monterey but the view is gorgeous and it's a nice escape any time from the tourism of the area.
It does get expensive during traveling season to Monterey but would be my choice of hotels to stay at if I were back here again.Recommended for
