The newly-renovated lobby at the bustling Hyatt Regency is practically a destination in itself thanks to its gift shop, two restaurants and Amourath 1819, a watering hole where tourists and locals mingle over signature cocktails. The hotel is popular with business travelers, and its location in the heart of downtown Sacramento makes finding places to shop, things to eat and sites to see a real cinch. The staff is both efficient and knowledgeable, but an interactive reader board located in the lobby can be a big help for tech-savvy guests trying to find their own way around. I can appreciate the guestrooms’ soothing color palette, but the occasional bright pop of color in pillows and other accessories keep things from feeling stuffy. The valet service stood out as particularly speedy despite the steady number guests coming and going when I was ready to pick up my car, and I’m a big fan of the full Starbucks on-site as it’s a real time saver for dedicated caffeine lovers like me.Recommended for:

This hotel is in the center of everything!
Capital Park and the Capital Museum is right across the street. Midtown food places is walking distance and basically you don't need a car to get around there.
We had a early flight to a conference being held here and got there early. We hoped to check in early and called to see if we could.
Marilyn at the front desk was WONDERFUL. She checked for us and told us she had the room. We wanted to get ready for the conference and such.
We came in early and she was SO friendly. It's such a pleasure to hear happiness and cheerfulness that early and when you're all disheveled from the flight :)
We checked into the room and the fiance got the King room that came with a couch on the side. SWEET.
The room was clean (except for a stain on the cover area that you don't really use). It came with a coffee maker (cups), bathroom stuff (cotton swabs, cotton, soaps, shampoo, lotions, etc). Lots of pillows.
Being Asian, I used it all. :P Can't help it. It's genetic.
Their hallway was nice. It's all fancy when you walk in.
We watched the Superbowl from their lounge area. Comfy.
* You need to pay for internet unless you're a member or else you pay for wifi.
* They will call a cab or van for you (SuperShuttle)
* Bring your own water - they do not provide free drinking water in the room
* Don't touch the snacks in there - censors

This is the place to stay in Sacramento if your political interest group is having a meeting. The Capital is just across the street, but in the past we've had to walk over to see our Representatives, due to Union issues at the Hotel.
The Hyatt facilities are about what you expect and are well tailored to the various citizenry that chooses to stay here. I particularly like that I can take the train to Sacramento and then get to the Hotel on foot.
