Hyde Park is one of the biggest parks in London. It has beautiful gardens, shrubberies, and trees. It has beautiful ponds and pathways for strolls. It is a much larger park than Holland Park. It has a lot of greenery here.

While regarded as London's equivalent to Central Park, and certainly the city's largest, it is only one of the fantastic public gardens available to visitors and residents of the Big Smoke. It's 350 acres contains wide open fields, the Serpentine, and while not officially contained within Hyde Park, Kensington Palace Gardens is contiguous and expands the park even further West.

The park is really beautiful and quite unique, it's nothing like Central Park in NYC, London has a different feel to it. Check out the speakers corner for some amusing soap-box speeches.

The green centerpiece of London, Hyde Park is famous for its cultural and historical relevance. Enjoy a beautiful walk through many water features and lush trees while taking in the Londoner's sunning themselves on many public lawn chairs.

Have some thee at the swan pond, or splurge out in one of the hotels for high tea.

Description

Host to the triathlon in the 2012 London Olympics and one of London's main green spaces, Hyde Park is full of activity. Whether you prefer horse riding or gazing at fine art at the Serpentine Gallery. The only thing you won't find is a hunting party thundering through in pursuit of wild boar - that sort of fun was restricted to the days of King Henry.
