Hmmm.... Nothing special, in my humble opinion :)
Perhaps this is because I've had legitimate shaved snow in Taiwan and nothing can compare... and MAYBE it's not fair to compare shaved snow from Taiwan, but I don't care since this is MY review! (:
WHAT WE ORDERED:
+++Organic Strawberry Snow: First of all, their portions are nothing like the pictures on their website, but that's okay. However, I was so shocked when I took my first bite... It was sooooo sour. I personally like sweet desserts so I was not a fan. I was even more disappointed since this was the one I personally ordered and I kept taking bites of other people's desserts to keep my tastebuds happy.
+++Mango Snow: This one was pretty good. Still nothing special but nice to have as a dessert after a filling meal.
+++Taro Snow: I expected this to have a heavier flavor. It was a bit bland but I still liked it more than my sour strawberry!
+++Egg Puffs: I am an egg puff slut (probably since I idolized these things so much as a kid since I was only able to have them once a year when I visited Hong Kong) so I like egg puffs anywhere. GET THIS!
We came in around closing time and they still seated us without any attitude or anything so I appreciated their service. Definitely not a bad place for dessert, but I never crave it either.

They just recently opened, and this is truly a place to get the shaved show and not much of anything else. Look - if the name of the place is "dessert house" if you are expecting a ton of food, you are looking in the wrong place.
There is a variety of shaved snow. All the snow does not come with toppings though that's extra except for condensed milk, keep that in mind, but the pricing isn't that expensive for what you get and since there are a ton of options in terms of toppings you can get as many or as little as you want.
There are separate prices for eating in and taking to go, clearly due to size.
I got the Chocolate Hazelnut snow with condensed milk and fresh strawberries. It was about $5.50 with tax for the to-go size which actually isn't too bad.
I will definitely be going back there often through this heat wave that we are having in LA and try a bunch of the other flavors.
They do accept mastercard/visa but it's an $8 minimum. Just bring cash.
a few of the reasons why I had to give a better star rating here than for Class 302 is really due to location, parking and decor. Parking is a breeze, it's near Panera, Jamba Juice and Chipotle by the mall. There is PLENTY of parking. It's a new store - so it's all clean and new, but due to their decor choice as long as they don't let things just fall apart it'll stay fairly clean going forward. the location - it's by the Puente Hills Mall and off of Colima, very convenient.
