Old bungalow converted into a cool modern bar on Rainey Street. Get The Katy - their version of a Moscow Mule - and kick back in one of their cozy rooms inside or lounge out back. One of the more sleeker looking places on the row.

Icenhauer's is one of the hippest bar/lounges on Rainey street and helped set the standard of what to expect on Rainey Street. Located in a restored house, this bar serves an excellent Sangria served is a giant mason jar and with a potent amount of alcohol and also serves a great variety of beer on tap. The indoor space is a little small, but the outdoor area is great and has a fire pit that they use during the few cold nights. The firepit also has seating all around it which is really useful. I just like the overall vibe of the place and the crowd is older and more sophisticated which is ideal for young professionals.

This bar is the swanky version of a Rainey Street bar – with the best A/C to beat the Austin heat. It gets pretty crowded on the weekends probably due to the fact that it’s awesome-ness is no secret. There are plenty of games spread around (Apples to Apples, ConnectFour, Battleship, you get it) and only a few TVs . More importantly there are decent drink specials and special drinks. So grab the drink menu and be a little adventurous and you have to at least try the skittle infused vodka.
