If you like fishing and fishing records, stuffed fish on the walls, live fish in tanks, etc. This is the place for you. Neat architecture outside is surrounded by catch and release ponds loaded with fish and birds. Neat place that we stumbled on by allowing our selves to follow the signs that piqued our interest. Always follow your instincts! We were doubly surprised when we got there that they were hosting a wake for a member of the Hall of Fame (lots of pictures and retelling of fish stories as they celebrated his life).

I enjoyed it but im an avid fishermen. My favorite part was the simulation games of how it feels to catch certain fish; you can catch over 7 different types! They also have a great history of fishing and the equipment used.Recommended for:

A beautiful space and a must-see for anyone interested in the history or world-records of the fishing world. As a casual observer, I'd appreciate a few more interactive exhibits and perhaps some aquaria with live specimens. But the facility is top notch and an excellent resource for fishing buffs, historians and rainy-day tourists alike. IGFA is overall a conservation-minded organization and, as someone who cares deeply about the health of our ocean, I appreciate this message coming through strong in their interpretation.Recommended for:
