Iguana Mia has the market cornered on birthdays; your entrée is free on your birthday with the purchase of another entrée (ID is required). So typically, everyone goes here for their birthday. The food is good, but more authentic Mexican food can be found elsewhere. I was just there for my own birthday recently. I had my usual chimichanga stuffed with sour cream chicken, but it seemed a little under stuffed, and I was eating more tortilla than chicken. Our friends suggested trying the pozole; a traditional Mexican, spicy, tomatoey, chicken soup. The soup sort of reminded me of Vietnamese Pho, because it came with a side of lime wedges, fresh avocado, radishes & cilantro, to be added to the soup at your leisure. It was a new, and most delicious experience, and something I would definitely have again. They have a full liquor bar with great margaritas, as well as beer & wine. Some may eat here more than once a year, but there's too much good Mexican food in Ft. Myers for this to be my go-to cantina.
