After a long, hot day of walking around Rome, I went to the lion-sculptured fountain at the Piazza del Popolo and dipped my feet into the cool waters. I looked around and was awestruck by the constant presence of historical buildings and open squares. It was moments like these that make me really treasure my time in Rome.

This church contains two great Caravaggio paintings, the Crucifixion of St Peter and the Conversion of St Paul. The drama of the paintings is a must experience while in Rome.

A lovely place to sit on the wall, look over a panoramic view of Rome and take in a sunset, the Pincio is also usually less crowded than the Gianicolo.

Great ambiance, but you definitely pay for it! Though, the comp snacks help take the sting off the sticker price.

Wonderfully curated selection on menswear. Mostly international brands and eye poppingly expensive. The place to pick up D&G, Prada, etc. if you accidentally left your Vuitton travel cases at home.

Whenever I need something leather, I head here. You'd never know it from the outside, but this workshop—located near the Spanish Steps on the second floor of a residential palazzo (you need to buzz to get in)—boasts some of Rome's top leather-makers. (The studio has been handcrafting leather since 1949). I've had both a wallet and a passport holder made ...

I think it is the only concept store in Rome. It sells very expensive clothes, flowers, music, furniture. There is a restaurant inside and you could also decide to get a little relaxed witha new hair cut.

These beautiful 'twin' churches are located at the very top of Via del Corso, and face out onto the Piazza del Popolo. They were very busy with church services during our visits, and seemed very popular with the locals.

so pretty! I honestly loved this spot so much, I went around 8 at night and it was very crowded! I would just love to see it at a less crowded time (if thats possible). Oh and there is an amazing gelato shop to the left of the fountain! nom nom nom

The pantheon and the plaza outside it were well worth going and seeing and a good way to spend an hour or so. I felt our time here was rushed...we had a little bit of free time as part of an organized tour, would have loved to have had a little more time to avoid feeling so rushed.

This piazza is always full of people! There's shopping nearby, the famed Spanish steps, and there's the "Spagna" metro A stop nearby. This is a great, central location for starting your exploration of the city. There is a tea room nearby that is worth a visit if you like tea (although it is a little pricey, the interior is relaxing). ...
