    InterContinental Chicago

    Class:
    22 reviews
Very Good! - 81% of guests recommend

A beautiful hotel perfectly situated on Magnificent Mile, allowing you easy access to the Art Institute, shopping and Navy Pier. Also, it is in a way, a piece of art itself. It was built in the 20's as an athletic club but closed it's doors after the Great Depression. When it was reopened as this hotel, they preserved all the ...

    The Drake

    Class:
    19 reviews
Excellent! - 86% of guests recommend

Drake is such an institution! I had been wanting to stay there ever since I find out about it. I finally got a deal and stayed there. I was a bit disappointing I have to say. The lobbies are gorgeous and the shops are glamorous. However, the myth buster moment came when I opened the door to my room. It ...

    Waldorf Astoria Chicago

    Class:

Excellent! - 92% of guests recommend

It was so hot and exhausted when I finally got to the lobby. I guess one of the staff members saw that because he brought me bottled water. The décor made me feel like I was back in Roman times with lots of marble, pillars, and sculpture. Someone told me that Étienne Balsan, Coco Chanel’s benefactor, designed the formal looking ...

I love the James Chicago because it redefines the boutique hotel experience. It’s upscale and has a beautifully styled restaurant with outstanding service. In Chicago it’s important to have the right location; I love walking and the James couldn’t be in a better spot.

    Hard Rock Hotel Chicago

    Class:
    14 reviews
Very Good! - 81% of guests recommend

I'm a total geek when it comes to music memorabilia, so I always love the Hard Rock hotels. Each floor is themed around a musical group; we stayed on "Chicago," which was fitting. Wish there was a pool, but it was a chic, comfy stay near a Lake Michigan beach and everything else we wanted to see.

    Sofitel Chicago Water Tower

    Sofitel Chicago Water Tower

    Class:

Excellent! - 92% of guests recommend

Everything about the Sofitel is focused towards pure luxury and class. The rooms are sterile-clean and the service follows suit. I had a great time here. They have a neat room service package called “Movie Night” that includes fresh popped corn, candy, and soda. It is located a few blocks from the John Hancock, and the views of the water ...

    Hotel Chicago Downtown

    Hotel Chicago Downtown

    Class:
    9 reviews
Very Good! - 82% of guests recommend

Hotel Sax is all about hip, swank luxury. It's at the base of Marina City (those corn cob towers dotting the city skyline), and is located literally steps (as in maybe 30) from the House of Blues. There's complimentary wi-fi internet and funky decorating (as evidenced by the gold-toned silhouette of a chandelier on the wallpaper, in lieu of an ...

    Omni Chicago Hotel

    Class:

Excellent! - 85% of guests recommend

Located in just a stone’s throw from Michigan Ave., Omni Hotel is close enough to pretty much anything you need. Pizzeria Uno isn’t too far away, if you’re feeling like stuffing yourself with Chicago’s original deep-dish pizza, and Pippin’s is a decent, nearby old-school dive to have a beer. The décor of the hotel features a lot of dark woods ...

I stayed here for work a couple of times shortly after it opened. The heated pool on the 17th floor was really nice! And while it was chilly out on the terrace, I can imagine how nice it will be in the summer months. The rooms are a little more cramped than other Kimpton hotels (I usually stay at the ...

Hotel Lincoln, a Joie de Vivre Hotel

Hotel Lincoln, a Joie de Vivre Hotel

    Class:
    7 reviews

Considering its size and location, it’s surprising that Hotel Lincoln still feels like a boutique hotel. Its amenities rival that of downtown hotels, but I thought this spot felt pretty bustle-free. There’s a downstairs café, and visitors can enjoy elegant dining inside the building at Perennial Virant. In the warmer months, the J. Parker rooftop lounge offers fancy cocktails and ...
