Regardless of the weather you’re going to have a good impression of the Imperial Hotel. Upon entering the main floor they have several different heater and coolers at work that gradually and pleasantly adjust the temperature giving a nice clean crisp feel the second you walk in the door.
The hotel is quite old and has a long history, but it has seen numerous restorations to keep it looking fresh and new. It features over ten different restaurants most of which are Japanese, but with a wide variety of styles and different regional dishes. While they do have western style restaurants and bars most of them seem like a more classical Japanese interpretation on what the western dining and drinking is like.
There are normal rooms and executive rooms in a separate building. The executive rooms seem to be built for maximum comfort with various method of climate control in the room and the bath tubs can regulate both the temperature and the water level. Even the curtains had controls next to the bed.Recommended for:

On the pricey side of Tokyo hotels, but if you want to do it "old style" it is definitely the place to stay. Close to all the central attractions, but with that traditional level of service and decor that makes you feel like a visiting diplomat.
