One of my favorite restaurants in Tokyo. Grilled robata fare. Excellent energy with the staff shouting out orders to the chefs, who sit in the middle of the counters, serving you beers on a long wooden paddle. Do you know how strong you have to be to lift 3 beers on a 15 ft wooden paddle? Great selection of seafood, beef, chicken, veg skewers. There a two sister restaurants - one of the east side of Roppongi Crossing and the other on the west side. The one on the west side makes fresh mochi in a hollowed out tree stump. Comes with ground sesame powder... semi sweet and nutty. It can get expensive, but worth it. Make a reservation for one of two nightly seatings.
