Considered part of the National Park system, a bonus of Independence Hall is it is FREE! Being here was a moving experience. The space is set up to look as it did in days of old. A costumed representative of the National Park service educated us about our forefathers and their role in early American history. The presentation was not too lofty, but friendly and fun. This is a must when visiting Philadelphia for the first time.

Philadelphia, PA, USA; home of the Liberty Bell and the signing of the Constitution, the Brotherly Love city provides you with a European presence with unique diversity like no other. This city is quite possibly the most dedicated to its sports teams in the Eagles, Phillies, 76ers, and Flyers. So it shouldn't come to surprise that locals are very dedicated to their own city and take pride in their offerings. RG (August, 2010 and December, 2011)

I love history! So visiting Independence Hall was, as you can imagine, breathtaking. Standing where the Forefathers of America helped to shape the nation we currently reside in, is a magically nostalgic feeling. It makes me think back to how life was back in those times. All of this occurred before I even went in...

The tour is a lot of fun for history buffs. You will probably be surrounded by bored school kids on class trips depending on the time of the year, but if you're into historical places, this is it. A lof of preservation went into keeping things just as they were. A definite first stop on historical tours of the city!

Really interesting. You have to have a ticket and be on a tour to go into the building-- get tix at the visitors center, in the high season things book up early. The tour itself was great, they ended with a movie that was a little cheesy but still informational.
