My favorite scuba dive destination in Bali - I never got bored going back to Tulamben for many reasons. Access to the sea is very easy, you can swim from the shore to the wreck, and typically the visibility is quite good too. Chances of seeing a barracuda (a residence near the wreck) are quite high. I also love the ...

Bintan Utara is an neighboring Indonesian island near Singapore. Thus, many Singaporeans come here via a 45 minute ferry ride to check out the local beaches and resorts. That being said, Bintan does not have much in terms of Indonesian culture and history. If you're coming from Singapore and want the convenience of visiting a nice beach, then Bintan is ...

Gorontalo is a small town in the North of Sulawesi Island. It is reachable by flight either from Makassar or Manado (silkair flies 4 times a week from Singapore to Manado). I like this sleepy and small town because of its numerous and beautiful diving sites. Even though the scenery is beautiful, I find it difficult to recommend this place ...

There's almost no tourist infrastructure (I counted two guesthouses in the island's major population center), and most of the economy consists of seaweed cultivation, making the whole of the island smell something like a cross ...

Belitung, an Island located next to Sumatra, Indonesia. The island is famous for its clear blue sky, its white sand and the big rocks that differentiate Belitung from any other island in Indonesia. I plan to go back and enjoy Belitung one more time…!!! The island of Giant Rocks…!!! The island of ”Laskar Pelangi”.

Lagoi is a 45 minute ferry ride from Singapore and is a popular destination for Singaporeans who want to spend a day or two at a real beach. It's a nice area, although I don't know if I would come back here again. Please note that the main way to get around the island is by taking a taxi. Buses ...

A clean Sumatra small city. A trip to the elephant park is a must We went on the elephant ride through the jungle and swamp. Exciting except the elephants got spooked by a copter and took us on a wild ride stampeding through the camp. Not fun and cost $25 each! Sheraton Hotel Lampung was very nice.
