The Ink 48, one of Kimpton's newer properties in NYC, is a great hotel. Nice, albeit small, rooms with the contemporary, colorful decor that Kimpton is known for. The Press Lounge, their rooftop bar, is perfect for unobstructed views of the Hudson. For tourists who aren't used to the city, the location could be a problem as it is on 11th Avenue, a little far away from the sights people come to see.

I love Ink48. They are so wonderful to my dogs.

Also great is The Marlowe in Cambridge (my home away from home).

If you're not staying at Kimpton Hotels then you're not living life properly. From the free wine happy hour, to the pet friendly as a base line not as an add on Ink 48 is a shining example of Kimpton's dedication to customer service, stylish decor, relaxed vibe, good food and most of all--comfort.

It's effortless at Ink 48. Every staff member, from the door man who pet my dog and remembered his name the whole trip, to the well decorated and highly comfortable room cleaned by staff who get it makes the Ink a must stay at hotel.

When you enter the lobby is adorned not so much in a decor, but a vibe. It's fresh, it's clean, it's cool. The rooms are large by NYC standards and the Hell's Kitchen location is right in the middle of the hippest hood in Manhattan.

Ink48 has a swanky rooftop bar with views including all of the city all the way to Jersey. Worth a stop for a pre-game drink.

I am in love with Kimpton Hotels and the Ink48 kept me feeling romantic for the entire stay. My little Yorkie, Fergie, was delighted at the sight of her name written on the poodle-shaped chalkboard as we entered the lobby.

Our room was fabulous! Very modern, neat as a pin with extra large windows and a very inviting chaise lounge large enough to relax with an iPad or to entertain guests. Light flowed through the room with columns lined by floor to ceiling glass blocks.

The staff at the Ink48 was up to Kimpton standards as well, always courteous and genuinely friendly.

I wish the weekend coffee hour would begin a little earlier in the morning; however the coffee is delicious and don't forget the the wine-hour in the evenings from 5 to 6PM which they are quite famous for!

Next time I will be sure to visit the rooftop lounge on the 16th floor, Press, which is raved about!

Tip: Be sure to join the InTouch program at Kimpton and enjoy free internet AND $10 free mini-bar "Raid"

Kimpton's Ink48 makes its mark in New York City's burgeoning and historic Hell's Kitchen neighborhood. A full-service, lifestyle hotel situated on the southwest corner of 11th Avenue at 48th Street, Ink48 is close enough to the city's iconic epicenter yet far enough away to be an inviting and playful urban retreat. Paying homage to its printing house past, this 222-room, 17-story hotel with its inviting rooftop lounge and unobstructed sweeping views of the Hudson River facing west, and the Midtown Manhattan skyline facing east, makes an indelible imprint as the first upscale midtown hotel to grace the far west of Times Square. Ink48 is the only hotel of its kind between 26th Street to 59th Street and 8th to 12th Avenues. The 1930's building, with colossal windows, soaring ceilings and a striking, three-story rooftop addition by architect Carlos Zapata, underwent a major transformation while still maintaining the integrity of the original structure. Designed by award-winning architect David Rockwell, Ink48 draws inspiration from three signature New York architectural features: found in urban settings and created as a component of a public space. The inviting and sophisticated Ink48 lobby is an interpretation of a pocket park made of glass, stone and leather -an enclave which provides a place for guests to socialize, imbibe and mark the start or end of each day. The hotel is near Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum and Jacob Javits Convention Center. Other attractions include Broadway.
