No cockroaches but saw a couple ants. it's dingy and old. Was cheap but not worth the price. Interesting neighbors. Decent location.

    Oregon Convention Center

0.12 mi from Inn at the Convention Center

I attended a Convention here last week and had a nice time with professional friends, various presentations and exhibits, and the roomy, well-lit, and eco-friendly facilities. The OCC did a good job of accommodating our needs and welcoming us to the Rose City. It's also a big plus that the facility is close to Downtown and TriMet accessible. That led ...

This is where you will find the Blaze playing a mighty fine basketball game at Modacenter stadium. It is only minutes away from downtown which can be easy access with local transportation such as the light rails, buses, or even dare to walk. Here you'll find half of the people watching a live game and having a good time. Make ...

    Pearl District

0.98 mi from Inn at the Convention Center
    32 reviews

A lot of the nice restaurants and bars are located in the Pearl District. We stayed at someone's condo through Airbnb, it was a cool area, but for some reason, it smelled like dog pee EVERYWHERE we walked. That was unpleasant especially since all the buildings were so new and modern. You can pretty much walk to restaurants, shops, or ...

    Roseland Theater

0.85 mi from Inn at the Convention Center
    3 reviews

The Roseland has been around for as long as I can remember, and I've been to everything from reggae shows to raves here. A lot of fairly big acts come through here and the acoustics are excellent. It's one of the first places you'll want to check out for live music listings if you're coming to town; tickets for most ...

No one would have imagined in 2003 that an old Best Auto Parts warehouse would be converted into a 5000 square-foot music / art venue. Nevertheless, Portland has a way of surprising. In moonlighting as an event space, Holocene doesn’t limit itself to raucous musical events – for its walls have played host to multimedia parties, art openings, and a ...

    Wonder Ballroom

0.76 mi from Inn at the Convention Center
    3 reviews

Rivaling both Crystal ballroom and the Roseland in size, Wonder ballroom is hands down the best large venue in Portland. Unlike the Roseland and the Crystal, the Wonder ballroom does not focus exclusively on mainstream acts. Instead, what you’ll find here is more indie and experimental bands that are much harder to see live. Every show will be one to ...

    Darcelle XV

0.67 mi from Inn at the Convention Center
    2 reviews

Portland's quintessential drag queen bar, Darcelle's is a lot of fun. The performers here put a great amount of effort into their outfits and their shows, and many throw in a lot of comedy for good measure. It's not a strip-club at all. It's more of a cabaret with free-flowing booze.

    Ground Kontrol Classic Arcade

0.81 mi from Inn at the Convention Center
    12 reviews

If you ever crave a good game of PacMan at 3AM, Ground Kontrol ahs you covered. This two-story quarter arcade is filled with flashy, loud video games and pinball machines. They also serve beer and have quiz nights aimed at gamers. There's very little room to sit, though, so come prepared to play, not to socialize.

Though technically a gay club, Ember's is a classic downtown dance spot for clubgoers of all orientations who want a good, unpretentious time on the dance floor. The music ranges from disco classics to top 40 favorites to all kinds of electronica, and other clubgoers are usually friendly and fun. Bring lots of cash (drinks are predictably expensive) and leave ...

Located on the Eastside waterfront, Rotture showcases an eclectic variety of musical acts. If you have a strong reaction to dance upon hearing hip-hop, electronic and rock music, then Rotture must be visited. Without a car or bicycle, a cab is probably the best way to get there and back home. Walking is not advised as the streets are somewhat ...

Portland Saturday Market is always fun to explore on the weekends on the waterfront. You can find food, little trinkets, clothes, jewelry, and almost everything else. You'll see a lot of hipsters around but it's Portland, of course. It's a fun place to hang out and people-watch too! Things aren't always cheap, but it's fun to "window-shop."

    Rose Garden Arena

0.34 mi from Inn at the Convention Center
    11 reviews

Portland's giant arena is beautiful, well-designed, and makes every effort to maximize audience experience no matter what seats you can afford. Parking is convenient and cheap (relative to many California arenas, that is), and though the food is expensive, at least it's good. This is one of my favorite indoor places on the West Coast to see a major act.

The Lan Su Chinese Garden is a walled garden in Portland that takes up an entire city block. The garden may be popular, but there are plenty of nooks to enjoy quiet, peaceful moments. Don't miss the Tao of Tea for a cup of tea and small bites.
