No cockroaches but saw a couple ants. it's dingy and old. Was cheap but not worth the price. Interesting neighbors. Decent location.

0.08 mi from Inn at the Convention Center

Every time I'm in Portland I make sure I go to Burgerville, often for my first meal. It's fresh beef with local Tillamook cheese. The milkshakes are the real thing and thick, and, if marionberries are in season, you can try the local treat. This burgerville is across the street from the Convention Center.

Since moving back to Portland about a year ago, Le Pigeon is where I've enjoyed one of my best meals. Spot on, sophisticated meals. But, rumor has it they serve one of the best burgers in town, too.

GREAT HAPY HOUR AND VIEW OF THE CITY! Located high up in one of the largest buildings right in the middle of Portland. Yummy food and the greatest views of the city including out at the bridges over the river. Their prices are a bit high so you might want to try checking out their happy hour 4-6 and then ...

Quite possibly the hottest spot in Portland and I have to say I can see why! This place embodies the uber quirkiness that is Portland. There is pretty much always a line out the door and around the corner for these out of this world confectionery delights! I was overwhelmed by the selection and unsure what to choose the first ...

One of my favorite restaurants in Portland. The food is always amazing (I recommend the bacon wrapped dates, flat bread, and squid ink pasta!) and the service is impeccable. It's usually quite busy (an average of an hour wait) especially on weekends, so pop in to put your name on the list and head upstairs to The Secret Society for ...

Award-winning sour beers distinguish Cascade Brewing
Company from other IPA-loving Northwest brewers. Cascade uses oak barrels to age spices, yeasts, and fruits like strawberries, blueberries, Bing cherries, and apricots. Beyond the creative flavors, the brewery’s main attraction is Tap It Tuesday, when one customer gets to tap a keg with a wooden
mallet. Tappers come from all over to participate in ...

The seven-year-old izakaya-esque Biwa may offer only a single ramen, but given the obsessive research chef John Moch put into it, it’s a must order: thin noodles, a lone egg, and chashu pork, floating in a rich bowl of a pork-and-chicken broth that takes 18 hours to create. Seasonal variations include a crab ramen in winter and ethically sourced duck ...

I got a map that told me about all the places to eat within an easy walk of the Convention Centre. Since I wasn't in the mood for Red Robin or Applebee's, I took the Trimet into town and decided to try Huber's Cafe. Huber's was established in 1879 and only 20 years after Oregon received Statehood. Always packed, so you should expect a wait, but as far as reasonably priced and delicious Middle Eastern food goes, this is a great place for a cheap date. Larger groups run into the problem of having space found for them, but I've found that parties of three or four don't have too much trouble getting in. The platters are ...

Brunch is big business in Portland, and this downtown cafe is one of the city's most loved establishments. The food here is mostly sourced from local producers and they strive to use as many organic ingredients as possible. They do breakfasty takes of NW regional cuisine quite well--the oyster hash and the vegan tofu scramble are particularly popular. It's a ...
