A ridiculously charming boutique hotel with some of the biggest beds I've ever seen. I loved touches like the black and white tiled bathrooms, intricate, lacy looking iron headboards, and generally modern but very Italian vibe. The service was really welcoming too, but honestly my favorite part (aside from the gigantic beds) was the roof terrace. The view basically smacks you in the face with San Pietro...no matter how much time I spend in Rome, there is still always a bit of me that's vulnerable to its beauty and grandeur, and viewing it from on high is one of the best ways to bring this to the fore.

The Inn at the Roman Forum is hands down the best hotel I have ever visited. There is great energy in the adorable little streets even as you approach the hotel. Everyone from the maintenance man to the manager was bending over backwards with authentic friendly sweetness. (This is a sign of exemplary management – the employees are not faking happiness!) The room was just gorgeous, luxurious, unique and soulful. Vaulted wooden ceilings, jawdroppingly beautiful carved metal headboard, black-and-white tiled bathroom, idyllic shady terrace garden, perfect location in Rome. Three thumbs up! The Inn at the Roman Forum is the best!

I knew from the warm greeting I received on arrival that the Inn at the Roman Forum would be a special place. I certainly wasn't wrong. My bed was big enough for three, should such a thing ever be necessary, and the room was full of cute little modern Italian yet classic touches. The street is overgrown with ivy and paved in cobblestones, and the roof terrace is calm and very, very sunny. Absolutely a wonderful place to stay, I might even make it my regular haunt for visits to the ghosts of the Eternal City.

Description:

A boutique 5 star luxury hotel, the Inn at the Roman Forum is located in Rome's historic center. The roof terrace hosts a free aperitivo each day from 5 to 8, which you can enjoy while gazing at St. Peter's cupola. Appropriately for a hotel named after the site where ancient Romans played politics and haggled at the market, Inn at the Roman Forum includes ruins of its own - the Cryptoporticus, an exquisite stone gallery with engravings that can be traced back to 2,000 years ago. Room features include air conditioning, minibar, safe deposit box, flat screen satellite television, hairdryer, weather station and I-pod amplifier. Wireless Internet access is available for a surcharge.
