In any season, Innsbruck is simply gorgeous. In winter, it's a skiing paradise with the longest ski runs I've ever experienced in my life. In summer, it's the deepest green I've ever seen made all the more remarkable by the stunning, snow-covered alps in the background. Innsbruck will have you spinning in the hills singing the 'Sound of Music' guaranteed.

Visit Innsburck while you are Austria, it is the main city in the western part of this county. So much fun to ski in the Alps in Summer in Innsburck. There are several nice restaurants as well. The view is nice and the town is classy and quiet.

Great setting for a love scene surrounded by the alps this like able little creature lays low amongst the deep valley full of heritage and surrounded by slopes in winter if you are experienced. Good for 3 days.

Love Innsbruck! The size is nice, easy to get around, the locals are extremely friendly and helpful and the shopping is really good. I won't forget about the restaurants and cafes that are incredible and a decent price. Alot to see in Innsbruck as it's a beautiful city as well as the surrounding area.

Okay, being a Florida girl... seeing this place was absolutely INSANE. The Alps strike straight up in the air and in December were completely covered with snow! The dozens of ski resorts are unbelievable- HUGE runs with a little something for everyone. When you get up to the top of the mountain- often by gondolas, or by trains built for the Olympics (Innsbruck was home to the 1964 and 1976 Winter Games) you are face level with the summits of the Alps that seem to go on forever. The views are unbelievable. And the food!? AMAZING. I'm talking awesome dumpling (Tyrolean) soup, spaghetti Bolognese, wienerschnitzel, frankfurters, gelato- EVERYTHING. Everywhere I went, the food was just a little bit better than anything in the states. To add to that, the people are so incredibly friendly and helpful, and their German accents are always entertaining! Getting around the city is super easy as well- the Innsbruck metro and trolley-train system are very simple to navigate, even when you are stumbling back home from the many bars around the city. Speaking of nightlife- it is fantastic! Innsbruck is a university town with lots of lively clubs and bars- full of strong drinks and hilarious Austrians. Check out Hofgarden and Stadt Cafe for a guaranteed good time. ...All in all, Innsbruck is awesome and should definitely be put on your bucket list!

It wasn't horrible. After eating nothing but pasta and pizza in Italy for a week, it was good to eat meat and potatoes again. You do have the opportunity to take a train and tram up the Alps and do some hiking. I'm not a person that goes hiking often and that was still pretty cool. Still, Austria is no where near as beautiful as Italy. There's no descent shopping and there was only one dish I liked at all of the restaurants. It was ok, but I wouldn't go back.
