This is an hour-long behind-the-scenes look at CNN's headquarters in Atlanta. Visitors are guided through the building with stops to see the newsroom and different shows being aired. There also are areas that are specially designed for tour groups, including a studio where visitors can play news anchor (complete with teleprompter and camera) and a control room where everyone gets to sit and watch how the news is aired. If you want a more in-depth experience, check out the VIP tours. I went on the basic tour and it was good--I just wished it had lasted longer.

Inside CNN Studio Tour is a great tour of behind the scenes at CNN. Disability Access is provided by elevator. You will need about 11/2 to 2 hours from start to finish the tour.

A look into the heart of CNN/Turner Broadcasting is something you should check out if you're a local or visitor. Plus, it's really close to the Aquarium and World of Coke so you might as well hit several spots in one day. The tour is about an hour and gives you a look at the newsdesk and Studio 7 where they film almost everything. I'd recommend going during the week to see a live broadcast happening.Recommended for:Local Culture

Do you enjoy CNN? Are you interested in a behind the scenes view of a modern television network? I strongly recommend a studio tour at CNN's broadcast facility in Atlanta. The location is easily reached on foot from downtown or midtown hotels or via MARTA.
