InterContinental San Francisco

One of my favorite places to stay in SF... comfortable, nice staff, clean, and great views of the city. A little far from Union Square, but close to all the great SF nightlife.

Fantastic hotel! Just south of Market Street, in the heart of the city, next to the Moscone Convention Center and steps away from the Yerba Buena Gardens, renowned museums and cultural attractions, world-class shopping on Union Square, and AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants. There are lovely penthouse views and cocktails at The View Lounge on the 39th ...

If rating this hotel on overall gets 5+ stars. Arguably the best value in downtown SF. Small rooms, thin walls, loud pipes....HOWEVER, it was very functional and only a few blocks from Union Square, roughly 50 steps from a BART station, and provided complimentary coffee and muffins in the lobby every morning. I would stay here again.

Like all W hotels, this one is ultra luxe, with funky Japonais decor in the rooms. You also can't go wrong with the location - right next to the SFMOMA and a few blocks from Union Square. Love their chic XYZ lounge downstairs and the lovely libations at the bar. There's also a heated indoor pool and gym. Definitely go ...

Westin St. Francis may have the best hotel location in all of San Francisco. Directly facing Union Square, it’s front side forms one of the four wall of buildings enclosing the park. During Christmas, it’s even more beautiful as the building is illuminated in a dramatic fashion such that it serves as a wonderful backdrop for photos of the Union ...

I have never stayed in the rooms here but I have been to the red room. It's a bar in the hotel the is a lot of fun on a weekend night. It's up scale and crowded and good place to network. The drink prices are very high so don't be shocked at the $12 beers.

Excellent location and, boy, are those beds comfortable but somehow feels like it's an historical attraction which has had all of its charm squeezed out. I was upgraded to a double king deluxe, which was pleasant and mercifully soundproofed despite facing on to Market Street. If only the same could've been said of the soundproofing between bedrooms: I was treated ...

It is hard to review the St. Regis Hotel without using works such as "luxurious" and "perfection." Even if you have no reason to stay here, stopping into the restaurant for a great meal or drink is always a good choice.

Phoenix Hotel is a classic retro motel turned hip boutique hotel in the heart of Downtown SF. The Ritz tops our list for luxury San Francisco hotels. We love the opulence, apparent the moment a top hat-clad doorman welcomes you into the classical entrance. With its perch atop the Stockton Tunnel overlooking Chinatown and downtown San Francisco, the grand dame of hotels offers a host of elegant touches: massages, a sumptuous dining room, and superior service. Hint: ...

Get a corner room on a high floor, amazing views of the city. The food is okay. I enjoy staying at newer renovated Westins, the rooms are great along with the amenities. I like the centralized location of the hotel. Great for corporate travel.

Pretty good hotel! I give it 3.5 stars. The hotel is huge, taking up an entire block. It's located right at Taylor and O'Farrell. They call it the "Union Square" location, but it's cutting pretty close, and is right at the border of the Tenderloin district. The back side is on Ellis St, which is not the best street to ...
