This Intercontinental location caters to a business clientele, and therefore has only two to three room types and a more utilitarian design than other hotels in the Intercontinental family. There’s actually another Intercontinental just a 10 minute walk away – The Intercontinental Grand Seoul Parnas, whose luxurious design better accommodates those traveling for pleasure. Though this location is business focused and much more simple, it’s still very clean and traditionally furnished. Although, the green carpets in the guest rooms paired with the red and white bedding has an odd Christmas feel. The décor in the suites is more chic and updated. What this location has over the other one is its views. Many rooms overlook Bongeun Temple and/or The Han River. The humungous gym even has floor to ceiling windows that look out onto the temple grounds. It’s really quite calming after being at the convention center next door. Plus, the staff is super friendly.Recommended for:

The Intercontinental at COEX has a pretty clear function and purpose, which I don't really mind. Attached to a huge convention center, the hotel serves perfectly as a comfortable, fuss-free place to stay for it's constant stream of business travelers.
Unlike it's big (more luxury) sister hotel just a ten-minute walk away, the decor is simple, clean, and understated. Think luxury but with a 6 am wake-up call.
The English skills of staff on hand are to be commented on, as everyone I encountered had a very proficient level of English- due in part I think to it's proximity to the convention center.
With a roomy fitness center, pool, sauna, and 24-hr room service, there are also plenty of ways to relax after a day of conferences and meetings.
Great location, kind service with excellent English skills, and everything you need to feel at home away from home without too much fuss. A great business option.Recommended for:
