If you're travelling with kids or spy fans (Or maybe you're bored of U.S. history?), this is the place to go! The only thing I'd say you may need to worry about would be the price of admission, as it can be a little bit on the pricier side.

The International Spy Museum is a fun and interactive museum to visit in Washington, D.C. The question you have to ask yourself is: is it worth the cost of admission when there are so many amazing movies in D.C.?
About halfway through the museum I was exhausted by its serpentine layout and was ready to leave.

Not one of the free museums, but it is a pretty fun one nevertheless. If you are interested in espionage I would recommend taking some time and checking this museum out. It isn't overly serious, which maybe why I find it so enjoyable.Recommended for:History Buffs

This has got to be one of the most awesome museums I have ever been to. Full of spy gadgets and devices from all eras and organizations, it is absolutely fascinating. Their interactive displays are fun and the exhibits are very entertaining. Great for kids and adults alike. Note: there is no photography allowed and the entry fee is rather steep at $21 but it is worth the visit.

Pretty fun and very cool. Lots of great activities but still not enough. I wish there were more interactive games for the young kids to play with. None the less a great experience and a "must go" place to visit.

This is more my fiance's choice of spots. I had more fun in the gift shop! Save your money, check out the gift shop. Eat next door at Zola's! He enjoyed it a lot more than I did. He'd recommend it to other nerds out there!

Fun exhibit about the history and field of espionage. Has a number of interactive exhibits and such. Great for kids, though they may not appreciate it as fully. Can spend a good hour here, with a bit of a wait to get in during tourist season. Also does have admission fee.

Ok, so with all the free museums around town why would anyone want to pay to see one, well for one it is super fun & for two it's actually very educational. I've been before so when BF wanted to know what there was to do in DC it was one of my recommendations.
He totally enjoyed himself. Ads say to put aside about 3 hours to tour it properly, we were there for 6. And the staff was totally nice!
