    National Reef Park Garrafon

    Quintana Roo, México
    4.5
    5 reviews

The last time I was here was in 1986, and it was one of the best snorkeling experiences of my life. It is more expensive now, but probably safer. It still has wonderful fish.

    Playa Norte

Rueda Medina 130, Centro - Supmza. 001, Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo, Mexico
    4.5
    6 reviews

Playa Norte is one of the best kid-friendly beaches in the Riviera Maya. A long strip of white sand on the northern edge of Isla Mujeres, the water deepens so slowly into the turquoise sea, you can wade almost a hundred yards and still be only waist deep. The shallow waters also mean that there are virtually no waves, making ...

The terminal is at the north end of the island, where you will find a village with many restaurants, shops, and a small market within the village stroll. Here you can catch a cab, rent a buggy or scooters to tour the entire island. Or simply enjoy a beverage or maybe even a massage on the amazing beaches.

    MUSA Museo Subacuático

For those who enjoy art and diving, MUSA is a wonderful art installation on the ocean floor about 40 ft down. It is between Isla Mujeres and Cancun, but much closer to Isla Mujeres. It's a nice spot to bring beginning divers or those divers who love playing with a camera!

    Joysxee Island

Kind of an odd thing to see. This island in the Lagoon waters of Isla Mujeres is made entirely of plastic bottles. You can take tours during open hours or stand on the shores to marvel at the engineering!

Nice statue along the shore walk on the ocean side of the island. It is not something to go out of your way to see, but it is a pleasant surprise when stumbled upon!

Less crowded than Playa Norte, but only a few steps away. Playa Sol is a bit better for the budget concerned, who are willing to sacrifice slightly clearer waters.

I can't even begin to sing the praises of this dive shop. They arranged 8 dives over three days for my father and I. Pablo and Enrique planned out our dives and kept each dive experience memorable. Enrique was an attentive and helpful dive leader. Darwin helped us with gear switches and etc. Everyone here was so friendly and truly ...

Their beater bikes were a great deal compared to the other rental places on Isla Mujeres. We were in and out in less than 15 minutes with some wheels and a mission to circle the island. It's a great way to see more without resorting to a gold cart or moped!

Not the most gorgeous or modern church, but I loved the large virgin statue which watches over the square. It clearly is a dominating presence.
