If you are looking to stay in Taipei for a couple weeks or more, the i-Taipei Service Apartments are in a great location and a good deal for the money. It’s in the same building as the Qsquare shopping mall, with tons of stores, restaurants, and a movie theater on the fourth floor. And of course, the MRT, train, and high-speed rail are all next door. The rooms themselves feel like you’re staying in someone else’s apartment, with sort of themed-décor and even the smallest apartments have living rooms and kitchen areas. There is a deposit required for each room, so that is something to note. The services and facilities are limited (only a small lobby/lounge with a few tables, and no business center, gym, etc.) but the price is good and the location is tough to beat.

Great location since it is situated with QSquare and Taipei Bus Station. Furthermore right underneath the building is Taipei City Mall (Taipei Main Underground Shopping Street) and Taipei Main MRT Station.
The apartment itself is rather spacious and has a service balcony with a washing machine.Surprisingly the toilet does hold a bath tube.

The i-Taipei Service Apartments are pretty convenient in location, being located right across the street from Taipei Main Station, it’s convenient for wherever you need to go. If you’re looking to stay in Taipei longer than a week, it’s a very good deal for the type of room you get. The rooms come in all types of sizes and are nicely designed with each room having its own special theme, like a French-style room, Japanese-style room or traditional Chinese-style room. It’s located right by the Qsquare mall, so even though the apartment itself doesn’t have any particular facilities, there are a ton of restaurants and shopping right next door. The only downside is the staff wasn’t very friendly and didn’t offer a lot of services, which may be typical of apartment-style housing as compared to hotels. So you may want to steer clear if you want a place that provides services.

These "serviced apartments" are conveniently located at the Taipei Train Station (台北車站) above the Q square mall. The Taipei Train Station is a major hub that has the MRT and suburban trains running through, so for a "foreigner" like me it was impossible to get lost. Although following the signs to get to my room is another matter...
The rooms are richly decorated and modern, and reasonably priced. We got a 2 bed, 2 bath suite with kitchen and washer/dryer on the balcony for about $150 per night--a total steal. The Palais de Chine is right next door and much more expensive.
Because it's a serviced apartment and not a hotel, you do have to call for maid service and we did that about every other day. I probably wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Taipei from now on...
Amenities include package receipt and handling, morning call service, laundry service.
iTaipei Service Apartments offers apartments in these configurations: Double (1 bedroom, 1 kitchen, 1 living, 1 bath), Triple (2 bedrooms, 1 kitchen, 2 living, 1 bath, balcony), and Quadruple (2 bedrooms, 1 kitchen, 2 living rooms, 2 bath, balcony). Rooms come equipped with flat panel televisions, cable TV and Internet.
