Wonderful Taiwanese fusion restaurant with delicious entrees!
Something new has just arrived, and it's not just your average, run-of-the-mill Taiwanese restaurant, specializing in standard fare and lousy service. Izzo has arrived, and it infuses a much-needed spark in an otherwise stale shopping plaza, replete with old-school Asian restaurants. Izzo is a Taiwanese/Fusion restaurant and offers some wonderful Taiwenese dishes with a twist!
Spicy Beef Noodle Soup: standard but wonderful! The broth is delicious, and it's not often that I actually drink all the broth, so it mus mean that it's chock full of flavor! The meat is tender, and most wonderfully, the noodles are freshly made and hand-pulled, giving them a wonderfully chewy texture.
Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup: not quite as flavorful as the spicy beef noodle soup, but the seafood ingredients are fresh and plentiful.
Pork Belly Quesadilla: this is a truly delicious and outstanding dish that you will only find here at Izzo's. A uniquely fresh take on the traditional Mexican quesadilla, it is chock full of pork belly bites and cheese, and wrapped in a green onion pancake! Chinese + Mexican = Fusion goodness!
Asian Fried Chicken Wings: very very good and tasty. Crispy and tasty to the extreme, the flavors explode in your mouth! Order the large for 10 pieces.
Steamed Pork Belly Buns: a good appetizer that has a wonderfully sweet taste, but a bit soggy.
The service here is wonderful, totally unlike a typical Chinese restaurant, where the servers usually give you a dirty stare. The service here is quick, friendly, and quite enthusiastic. Everyone should come by Izzo and have a meal. You won't be sorry!Recommended for:

The oyster pancake and the pork belly quesadilla were the items I liked best out of what I tried. Wish I didn't burn my finger while eating the latter though. Their mango iced green tea is good too.

This gogobot event was set at 8pm at Izzo near the Milpitas/San Jose border. It's a fairly new restaurant with friendly staff members, decent/good food, and a spacious seating area. The owner, Frank, and one staff member, on a busy Friday night, was able to accommodate our large group of about 25-30 people. Although there was some miscommunication about the start time of the event that resulted in an hour wait before our group could be served, it seemed the crowd was overall satisfied by the end of the event. Frank set out a special area for us with large foil trays of food to sample - combo fried rice, combo chow mein (?), house sauce fried chicken, pork belly quesadilla, and popcorn chicken (?). The overall food sample was decent, with a couple of excellent dishes sprinkled in: the house sauce fried chicken being my favorite of the night and the pork belly quesadilla coming in second place. I was also able to try the passion fruit green iced tea, less sweet - decent. I was pretty impressed with one of the female staff members for remembering all our orders, including special requests, in the hectic environment of drinks being taken here and there by various gogobot attendees without actually being ordered. Overall it was a great experience, with a big shout out to Frank and his staff for accommodating such a large group during such busy hours and 1-2 hours through closing time. I will definitely come back for the wings and to try other intriguing dishes on the menu: http://izzorestaurant.com/menu.htmlRecommended for:

I came here on a late Friday night upon the recommendation of a friend. The plaza is pretty big and parking wasn't a problem around 7:30pm. I've heard the plaza gets pretty busy earlier in the evening for dinner service.
We tried the pork belly quesadilla, beef noodle soup, chicken wings, and tofu salad (strings of bean curd). The owner also gave us some tea on the house! The lychee green tea is delicious (just a tad sweet, but you can add more green tea to balance it)! The food here is pretty good -- I especially loved the pork belly quesadilla, made with Chinese pancake. The noodles in the beef noodle soup is hand-pulled...so chewy. I love Taiwanese fried chicken -- the outside is a different kind of crispy than the usual fried chicken.
The owner tells us he's always looking to try out new items on the menu, so you might see some changes/additions in the next couple months. I can't wait to come back to try the shaved snow and other items on the menu!Recommended for:

My bestie said we should go here. He said we should try their infamous pork belly quesadilla. He said many people raved about it and their chicken wings too! I just wanted to be fed so off we go.
My GPS said we arrived at the restaurant, but no where was the restaurant found, why?!?! They do not have their SIGN up yet, therefore you must walk your lazy butt around the plaza to find it. To save you time and energy, the restaurant is located next to another Asian restaurant called Shanghai. Basically at the end of the corner of the plaza.
The interior of the restaurant was spacious and clean. Enough TVs to look at every angles. As we sat down, our server came by to asked for our drinks. Green tea was our choice of drink to wash down those oily foods we're about to devoured.
A light appetizer of pork belly bun topped with sugar and peanuts. Reminded me of Vietnamese dessert usually topped with sugar, peanuts, and sesame. I much rather preferred the pork belly bun with hoisin sauce or something savory.
Chicken wings and the much anticipated pork belly quesadilla came out. The pork belly quesadilla was decent and kind of plain. Could be better if it had some sauce to it. Chicken wings on the other hand was crispy, saucy, and delicious. Definitely get their black bean noodles for something different and unique.Recommended for:

Taiwanese fusion done well! The beef noodle soup, XLBs and garlic chicken wings are must orders. They also have pork belly quesadilla which is actually pork belly sandwiched between green onion pancake. Their shaved snow is super yummy for dessert.Recommended for:
