Amelia Island tops off a wonderful string of Florida State Parks start just north of the Mayport Ferry. Most offer fantastic sandy beaches stretching toward the horizon. Little Talbot Island has a wonderful campsite on the inner coastal waterway and amazing beaches and picnic facilities on the Atlantic Ocean.

The trendy, artsy pedestrian center of one of Jacksonville's happening neighborhoods. Free, three hour parking allows you to spend some time walking around and enjoying the Mediterranean inspired space. Lots of boutique shopping and a range of bars and restaurants to enjoy. Bring your dog, everyone else seemed to have theirs in tow. Lion fountains, music gazebos, steel and bronze ...

Amelia Island tops off a wonderful string of Florida State Parks. They all offer fantastic sandy beaches stretching toward the horizon. Big Talbot has a shaded picnic area at the north end overlooking the inlet at the southern end of Amelia Island which I especially like.

Very laid back and enjoyable tap room for this highly rated, favorite, local brewery. No food except frozen fruit and beer popsicles, so bring your own food in or ask for a menu of pizza places that deliver. Dark, cozy, subterranean feeling space offering pints of about a dozen Intuition Ale brews. Fill growlers and buy merchandise to go. Family ...

Situated directly underneath the Fuller Warren bridge at the end of the two mile pedestrian River Walk. Beautiful spot. Easy place on a Saturday to stroll, shop and have a bite to eat in the Riverside area of Jacksonville. Good urban feel, with parks, outdoor markets, museums and churches all rimming this commercial area of the 1920s. Parking is street side and elusive at times, in order to visit the shops and caf├ęs centered on Park St. you may ...

Fun and zany. 5,000 square feet of kitsch and culture! Lots of collectibles, jewelry, toys, kitchen gadgets and odd items are jammed into every corner of about 35 booths. Slow but friendly staff, but neither fans nor stoves to be found in this 30-plus year anchor store to the 5 Points area of Riverside. Walkable from the Riverside Arts Market ...

    Eco-motion Segway Tours

This is our 3rd Segway tour and the first on the "off road" model. I prefer the nimbler street model but traveling in sand over roots and generally rough terrain was way cool. I wish these tours were longer. We went on the Point Isebel trip and visited the Kingsley Plantation before hand by car. The tour was well guided ...
