Excellent family park. Large, inclosed facilities can be rented for Team/Group outings. You can park and visit the Atlantic Ocean via the public beaches or take the time to reserve a camp site under the stately hammock oaks.

Amelia Island tops off a wonderful string of Florida State Parks start just north of the Mayport Ferry. Most offer fantastic sandy beaches stretching toward the horizon. Little Talbot Island has a wonderful campsite on the inner coastal waterway and amazing beaches and picnic facilities on the Atlantic Ocean.

Amelia Island tops off a wonderful string of Florida State Parks. They all offer fantastic sandy beaches stretching toward the horizon. Big Talbot has a shaded picnic area at the north end overlooking the inlet at the southern end of Amelia Island which I especially like.

Designed by the famous landscape architect Olmsted brothers in the 1920s, it is the only park in Florida dedicated to the State's 1200 WWI losses. Nice area, with boutiques, cafés and restaurants within walking distance. Families enjoying some scenery along the River while picnicking and a couple of guys ...
