Jalan Alor street is amazing for foodies, the whole street is a food court with a huge variety of Malaysian food, we've tryed Penang specialties and loved it!

BUTTERED PRAWNS .. Jalan Alor comes alive at night with tables and chairs all spread out along the stretch of this street. they mostly serve local food and for those who are adventurous, I am sure you will enjoy this place

There's no shortage of decent restaurants in the Malaysian capital, but like so many other Asian cities, there's also this terrific cluster of places offering really good and inexpensive street food. Far more atmospheric.

Satay, fried rice and more satay. Maybe some laksa thrown in for good measure. The smell that permeates from some of these restaurants are fantastic. It helped that my hostel was so close to this street. I think I had satay every night that I stayed there. There are a lot of options so pick the restaurant you like a get ready for some of the best, cheapest food you'll get in the city.
