    Dunn's River Falls

    66 reviews

This picture is a little different from the time we went. We climbed big rocks with huge water falls and sat right in the middle of one of the water fall. It was just awesome, what a great place to visit and COOL DOWN. Just one of the many things to do there.

    Bob Marley Museum

    17 reviews

This modest clapboard structure is the former Bob Marley's house transformed into a museum in the late 20th century in memory of this renowned father of reggae. The collection includes personal belongings that portray the memorable journey of the singer. The Bob Marley statue in the courtyard is the best feature onsite.

    Blue Mountains

    8 reviews

These are remote, steep little hills in the NE wilderness of Jamaica, a surprisingly large island with only a few good roads. Often in clouds, the trees here do see blue, especially from a distance. Not many places to stay out here, just a few B&Bs but you can explore them easily from Port Antonio or Ocho Rios. Beautiful coffee ...

    Rafting on the Martha Brae

    6 reviews

I really enjoyed this excursion. Just the two of us very peaceful. The guide gave us insight into growing up in Jamaica. Beware at the end of the tour, your guide will try to sell you their handicrafts. Knowing that, I'd do it again.

Take a 90-minute boat ride up the river through a mangrove forest filled with waterfowl; keep your hands out of the water so as not to tempt the alligators. Back at the dock, walk through the bustling outdoor market, look for a marker showing where the slave trade took place, and visit the historic church.

    Rose Hall Great House

    6 reviews

One of the monuments to British Colonial rule is this mighty mansion. The British built some grand halls in Jamaica out of the enormous profits from exportation of sugar, rum and indigo in that colony. This place is really a museum to that form of 18th and 19th Century aristocratic decadance. Dimensions of everthing are smaller than we are used ...

    Glistening Waters Luminous Lagoon

Ugh I hate to say it but this place is so overrated. Went when the moon was at about a half-wax, so it wasn't as dark as had I gone on a full moon, but still. You go out in a motor boat and you see the phosphorescence in the water stream behind the propellor, but it could have just ...
