Jamaica Bay Inn

4175 Admiralty Way, (temporarily closed), Marina del Rey, CA 90292-6204
1 review

New hotel just opened in late November, 2010. It's located right on Marina Beach so it has great views of the marina. Rooms are large and well-appointed. I love the decor. Staff is great too. New restaurant there was fun to try. We sat outside in January around their firepits enjoying a glass of wine.

Hidden below the Santa Monica pier's carousel, this aquarium deals exclusively with the marine life of the Santa Monica Bay. Run by the nonprofit, Heal the Bay, the displays are great, not only for children (for whom there are tailored programs) but for adults.

Wonderful! Just like at the movies. Very nice place for evening walk. A lot of coffee shops and fresh drinks. Dont miss visiting little Venice, which is a place with amazing houses and a water canal instead of street, just behind the main street of Santa Monica. There is a lot of paid parking lots, but bus line to LA ...

Parking is convenient, lots of fancy stores, and if you're complaining about how there's too many designer stores... literally, just walk across the street, and you'll find Forever21, H&M, American Eagle Outfitters, and whatnot. So Santa Monica Place appeals to all crowds! Most of the designer stores are pretty small anyway and don't have too much selection, but Nordstrom's and ...

Second Thursday of Every Month in DTLA there's a free event held. People can walk around and check out several buildings full of art works/ sculptures/ etc. Some buildings will have booths where they sell their handmade jewleries...the best part are the food trucks (lobster quesadillas, gelatos, coffee, burgers, yummmmm). Some galleries will make you feel like you're at a ...

Great open park to take the dogs and the kids! They also have tennis courts and basketball courts. Be careful, when it gets closer to the late evening, some sketch characters show up around the drinking fountain by the tennis courts.

Simply mind-blowing. If you don't already know about this place, I kind of don't want to give anything away. Suffice to say, it is a remarkable and odd museum. You will learn all kinds of strange things. The man who set it up won a MacArthur genius grant, and rightfully so.

SOOO MUCH FUN! Not only do we get to ride my first party bus, it's a RASTAbus! What I love about all the gogobot events are the themes. They make it super festive and it's so much fun to see people getting creative with their costumes. This theme was the Thrift Shop. I've never been on such a random adventure ...

Been many years since I and my family was here and it was a camping trip to remember. Camping right on the beach and the sound of the waves at night & the walking distance to small cafe's and little shops was so much fun with bike and skate rentals. A time with my kids I will never forget!

One of my favorite places to go walking on the Los Angeles coast. Plenty of street parking nearby, with paved walking paths that wind around the clifftop bluffs within view of the Pacific Ocean and Santa Monica Beach. Start at the southern end of the park where you'll find the Route 66 endpoint marker and a camera obscura upstairs inside ...

This is one of the better parks in the Santa Monica area. From the outside it looks like a small park, but once your inside you realize it is a good size park.
