Jamaica Bay Inn

4175 Admiralty Way, (temporarily closed), Marina del Rey, CA 90292-6204
1 review

New hotel just opened in late November, 2010. It's located right on Marina Beach so it has great views of the marina. Rooms are large and well-appointed. I love the decor. Staff is great too. New restaurant there was fun to try. We sat outside in January around their firepits enjoying a glass of wine.

I went here for my 27th birthday party after having seen the documentary, "Jiro Dreams of Sushi." Very exquisite sushi. I went with the omakase, letting the chef decide what to serve for me. One thing, though. Don't go in a large group. It's quite difficult for them to serve us properly when there are too many people. So, make ...

If you're in the mood for a good burger, but you feel too high-class to dine at your local In-N-Out, I think The Counter is is a great option. I mean, what's not to like about constructing your own burger from the choice of bun to the number of toppings? In fact, if your burger isn't to your liking, then ...

A fantastic brunch spot in Santa Monica. To die for: French toast. They use their own baked bread here. The insides are moist, and the exterior is crisp--a perfect french toast! I also love the croissants I've had in the US. Unfortunately, the chocolate/almond croissant was surprisingly not so good. The omelettes are delicious--Amandine omelette, and the mushroom/swiss/spinach one. ...

**FAVORITE CUBAN RESTAURANT IN LA** OMG, I had no idea that this place existed. It was an accidental WONDERFUL discovery. I absolutely love Cuban food. Walked in during lunch, ordered the ropa vieja to-go ($8.99), and 3 minutes later, one of the staff members handed me a bag and whispered to me that the black beans were complimentary. Umm, hello. ...

This was a really neat little restaurant. I had lunch here a few times when I lived in LA cause I worked right across the street. They seem to do a fusion of classic American cuisine and Korean/Asian cuisine (i.e.-hoisin-chili glazed baby back ribs). I reallllyyyy liked the Cracklin' Beer Can Chicken with a Dyn-O-Mite on the side (essentially, a ...

TenShin Ramen!!!! My favorite ramen at Ramenya when the weather is sucking - like right now. It's a large bowl of ramen topped with a giant shrimp omelet swimming in thick gravy-like savory msg soup. You need both hands to eat this (one with chopsticks for the noodles and the mini ladle/spoon with your other hand to scoop the omelet ...

Vegan food so good you won't miss the non-vegan elements. There aren't a lot of vegan places I'd feel confident taking my non-vegetarian spouse, but this is one of them.

I liked it :) Fatty broth with skinny noodles for $10 and you order via ipad! Reminds me of Stacked. Once you place your order and pay, go find a table for your self and a server will come over to look at your ticket. I liked the ramen! It was better than what I expected (thought it'll suck).
