    Kyoto Hotel Okura

    Kyoto Hotel Okura

    Hotel Class:
    4.5
    4 reviews

Hotel Okura offers one of the finest stays in town. The hotel décor is constructed in a luxurious fusion of modern and traditional Asian style. The king room is especially elegant, spacious and welcoming. Service was incredibly attentive; meanwhile, the neighborhood is perfectly friendly for shopping strolls. The coffee bar lacks in options. The house restaurant ‘Sanso’ serves flavorful Kyoto-Cuisine, ...

    Backpackers Hostel K's House Kyoto

This is the best hostel I have ever stayed at. It was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities one could look for in a hostel. There is free wifi on every floor, clean bathrooms/showers, helpful and friendly English speaking front desk staff, a bar/restaurant attached, a kitchen, a tv room, a rooftop deck, lots of storage for your pack, ...

This is a really cheap hostel located in a nice place. You can use JR or Subway to visit anywhere from this hostel. Some travelers seem to stay there long-term like a week or so while they travel around Tokyo. The bunks have locks so when you leave for the day you can lock up your stuff. This is one ...

This is a super fashionable hotel. It's not like other Japanese hotels, that have a corporate, sterile feeling. In this one it's obvious the designers have made each room with its own unique design. Check out the web-site to choose a room. They have unusual western and modern Japanese style rooms. I loved this hotel.

    Imperial Hotel Tokyo

    Hotel Class:

Regardless of the weather you’re going to have a good impression of the Imperial Hotel. Upon entering the main floor they have several different heater and coolers at work that gradually and pleasantly adjust the temperature giving a nice clean crisp feel the second you walk in the door. The hotel is quite old and has a long history, but ...

Absolutely amazing. I booked the hotel via their website and paid about $750 for my stay (we stayed during the week). I booked the room they had with two queen beds and two twin beds (meant for families). When we got there, I got a much bigger room. It was two rooms in one. There was one room with two ...

My friends and I stayed for two nights at this hostel---which is more like a motel than a "hostel". The first night we crammed in 6 of us in one room. Yep, it was tight but when we only needed a place to sleep for about $12USD/person, it was perfect. We shared a common hallway restroom that evening. Not bad ...

    Ace Inn Shinjuku

A great place to have a warm place to sleep, but not very welcoming or homey compared to other hostels and capsule hotels. The floor I stayed on housed about 12 on a male floor. There is also an 80-bed mixed floor option. 80 people! Because of this amount, showers actually cost some coins to get a 10 minutes of ...

    Shibuya City Hotel

    Shibuya City Hotel

Shibuya City Hotel is just a normal business hotel, but it's in a good area. It's easy to find from Shibuya station because it sits right at the base of Dougenzaka, or love hotel hill. If you sit in the bar/restaurant at night you can watch couples walking up the little hill on their way to pick out a love ...

This is the place to stay if you are anywhere near this area. The room is huge, as big as some apartments. Terrace, walk in closet, couch sitting area etc. There is a free happy hour from 4 to 7. The staff is very friendly and the food in the restaurant was great.

This is a great property. Although it is very large and is Western-style the grounds manage to maintain a bit of Kyoto charm. The hotel offers lovely views of the city and Higashiyama area (temple dotted hillside). Service during my stay was excellent by Japan standards. Diligent but also flexible and responsive. Only negatives I experiened were 1) showers are ...

    Tokyo Ryokan

    Tokyo Ryokan

This “ryokan” was designed by the owners to be modern looking and minimalist. It’s really beautiful It also only has three rooms and it's cheap, so book in advance. My only complaint is that there’s no bath, but at this price, if that’s your thing, you can use a public bath in the area. The owner is easy to talk ...

This is a really brightly colored hotel, you can see it from down the block because it's one of the only buildings with color on it in the area.
