    Arriving at the centrally located train station from nearby Kobe we were impressed by the orderly atmosphere of this busy city. Exiting the station we were greeted by beautiful inexpensive and honest taxis with white gloved drivers. Be sure to stroll on colorful Dotonbori street.

    Arriving here via cruise ship this was our introduction to Japan. Despite the light rain we had plenty to see thanks to the many covered shopping arcades. We enjoyed window shopping and the interacting with the locals. The city, spread along Kinko Bay, boasts Sakura-Jima active volcano.
