    Curry House CoCo Ichibanya

    4
    2 reviews

Unfortunately, it is hard to find a mom and pop curry spot but as far as the Japanese-style curry chains go, this is my favorite. Unlike others, has a wide variety of options (many without meat) and always a few interesting seasonal options. These spots are for cheap curry in a hurry but this one is a bit better than ...

    Gonpachi Shibuya

    4
    2 reviews

I found this restaurant from this website. http://www.picrumb.com/gonpachi-shibuya/ It wasn't so far from the station but it was really helpful to have the navigation by pictures. The restaurant is big unlike many of the restaurants in Japan, and the restaurant is separated in to 2. One is Sushi restaurant and the other is Yakitori restaurant. I was here for the ...

    Granny Smith

Best apple pie I have had in Tokyo. The country music and Cracker Barrell ambience is cloying after a few minutes but the apple pie here is damn good. My Granny Smith would approve.

It's always good to find a charming place represent Khmer food. This place is great, great food, I've ordered and ate most of the things on the menu. It's surprising authentic and it's less spicy to accommodate the Japanese taste buds.

    Mister Donut

    4.5
    2 reviews

Mister Donut is a popular donut chain in Japan that actually originated in America. A chain that did not last in the States thrives in Japan as it is one of the dominant donut shops. This shop is located on a prime corner in Nakasu and very convenient to the Nakasukawabata subway station. The donut shop is just about open ...

    Gonpachi

A Japanese friend met us here for a yakitori dinner. The place is gigantic! The restaurant inspired that scene in Kill Bill in which Uma Thurman kills everyone in a restaurant. The foyer show photos of every celebrity who has visited, which includes Lady Gaga, Maroon 5, former presidents, and the like. Yakitori sticks are about $3 a pop and ...

    Salt

    5 reviews

I think the Tokyo outlet of this Sydney restaurant is better than the original. High quality innovative modern fusion in an attractive environment with attentive service. Perfect for a business dinner or special night out. The pre fixe dinner is exceptionally good value given the quality level. The wine list is extensive and pricing isn't egregious for Japan.

    Yurakucho Yakitori Alley

    4.5
    7 reviews

The alley lining the elevated tracks near Yurakucho Station in central Tokyo is famous for yakitori (grilled chicken skewers). Having a few skewers and an Asashi with salarymen fresh out of their offices in the financial district is an awesome experience, and quintessentially Tokyo.

    Daiwa Sushi

    4.5
    6 reviews

What a great experience! We came to Daiwa Sushi expecting it to be good, but not great, and a bit disappointed that hadn't been able to secure a reservation at any of the more famous Michelin-starred places for lunch or dinner. We were absolutely pleasantly surprised by the quality of the fish, the atmosphere of the place, and the friendliness ...

    New York Grill

Located at the Park Hyatt Tokyo. Great views of the city from the 52nd floor. The elevator drops you off on the 52nd floor and you walk across the floor to the restaurant... a grand entrance. They have a cover for the bar after 9 or 10pm... for the live music. Usually something jazzy. It's a steak house. They filmed ...

    Sushi Dai

    5
    5 reviews

Make good use of your jetlag and get up early (like at 4am) to get to Sushi Dai when they open at 5. Otherwise be prepared to wait up to 4 hours in line. We got there at 5:20 and ONLY had to wait 40 minutes. The sushi is top notch and the omakase is a fairly good deal.

    T.Y. Harbor Brewery

    4
    4 reviews

Everything that Metropolitan Dining does is good and T.Y. Harbor is no exception. Though off the beaten path and a bit hard to find, this is as close as you get to a Pacific Northwest Brewpub in Tokyo. The food is solid, the beer is good, and the location right on the canal is fantastic. A great place to enjoy ...

Yum!!! This place is amazing. It is located underground beneath some big office buildings in Shiodome. The curry udon with banana is outrageously good. Oh what I wouldn't do to eat it again! The place is small and casual. We came for lunch twice and had fantastic meals.

    Starbucks Shibuya Tsutaya

    4.5

This Starbucks is usually packed. It also has a spectacular view of the Shibuya Scramble crossing. If you see an open seat, you'd best snag it. It also gets pretty loud in here as well.

    Honmura-an

    4.5
    3 reviews

Based in Roppongi Hills, this soba house has house-made, hand-cut traditional buckwheat soba. Get it cold with grated mountain yam and enjoy the space. The design is über-modern and funky—there's this totally shredded Al Merrick surfboard on the wall that's been made into a painting. It's just fantastic. There's also an outpost in New York City's Soho!

If you can overlook the "Smoking OK" policy, this cafe is a great off the beaten path place to relax over coffee or a drink. Sophisticated but rustic ambience.
